Garden Pastels at Pendrell Hall
Our first meeting with Kate & Michael was very memorable. A lovely bubbly couple who looked so in love. From the start they knew what they wanted for their special day and what they wanted to achieve with colours and styling.
The couple chose the impressive Pendrell Hall, Codsall (nr Wolverhampton) to showcase their wedding day. The elegant Victorian country house is full of history and character which is clear immediately.
Their brief was cottage garden florals in soft pastel shades. Their favourite florals were peonies, pale blue hydrangea, blue thistle, delphinium and daisies.
They loved the relaxed look and didn't want their day to look too staged.
Personal touches on occasional tables throughout Pendrell Hall created a wedding to be welcomed. We love it when couples add photos to the venue, its a cute finishing touch.
The bridal bouquet was a natural handtie, visually very dense with garden florals using a carefully selected combination of large headed flowers and smaller delicate blooms to soften the design.
The colours were selected to create a pastel blending, however not to be too muted.
This bouquet really paints a floral picture of "Garden Summer Flowers".
The bridesmaids flowers as they were already wearing pale blue opted to carry a posie of white gypsophila.
The staircase looked fabulous with a front facing display with colours and florals to compliment the wedding.
We really enjoyed styling this amazing wedding and the couple really took onboard our suggestions.
After the ceremony we returned to re-install the florals and moongate from the room and reset them up in the main ballroom.
The moongate was placed behind the head table and the cups in the fireplace were added to the guest tables. The guest tables were combination of china teapots, cups & saucers and vintage books. Very quirky.
So much interest for the guests to feast their eyes on during the celebrations.
