Classic & Timeless at Stanbrook Abbey
Stanbrook Abbey located in Worcester is a magnificent 16th century building and to add a small bit of history it is a former Grade II listed monastery, which explains all the beautiful heritage through the venues architecture and long corridors.
There are no words to explain the opulent and breath taking Abbey.
Getting married in the Abbey will make you feel like "Royalty" for the day.
We were so happy to be asked to create, design and setup at Stanbrook Abbey. The wedding was over 2 days and although many of the florals were used on both days the attention to detail from the family was perfect for us. We all brain stormed, planned and added all their favourite florals. The result was on the second day we added extra colours and variations to create a new designs.
The bride always knew what she wanted for her bridal flowers and I have to admit she chose the most amazing bouquet. A cascading shower in neutral colours with the most incredible selection made it a pleasure to make.
Florals of Calla lily's, Dendrobium orchids, large headed roses, freesias, delicate spray roses and frilly white eustoma were all the perfect match for each other. Small touches of foliage's throughout to define the shape really knitted the design together.
This bouquet is a classic design that time can never date it.
"Classic & Timeless"
The bridesmaids florals were designed to compliment the bridal bouquet and the couple had decided that within the selection they kept the Calla Lily's for themselves as "their" flower.
It was only right and fitting that the groom had a Calla Lily buttonhole and it looked great on his suit. We added small touched of florals that was also in the bridal selection for small delicate details.
The second day of the celebrations he chose a small red rose cluster with a touch of gold as a boutonniere. The stems was bound in burgundy satin which gave a lovely detail on his already fabulous jacket.
I love this group picture. So many smiles.
The "Wow" of our large riser arrangements gave great impact and masses of fresh floral fragrances throughout the day.
The entrance gave the guests a sneak peek into colours and florals with an impressive display next to the "Welcome Sign". The first day was neutral colours and on the second day we added soft natural pinks to create a different vibe to the celebrations.
The riser displays was framed the aisle in the Abbey during the ceremony and then we placed them onto the guest tables for the wedding banquet.
After the service we placed the large risers from the Abbey and onto the tables. We always offer options to "Double Use" your florals through the day and this was a perfect example of the service we offer.
Once placed on the table we added a fresh foliage garland down the centre along with candles.
The moongate that was so fragrant was moved from the Abbey and placed behind the couples head table for a perfect backdrop and the pretty arrangement from the signing table was placed in the centre of the head table in front of the happy couple.
The fragrance from all the fresh florals and foliage's throughout the venue really was amazing. During setup, even the brides mother came up to us and commented on the smell, she loved it!
Day 2 of the celebrations was the addition of natural pale pinks. As the couple loves "Calla Lily's" so much we just had to do it! The florals had an additional calla lily called "Captain Romance" a very pale pink variety.
The table layout was changed to round tables and they had alternating tall and low level displays. The tall riser displays had pink added and the low level displays were mixed vases and candles.
Each table name was named after a flower. The place setting on each table was finished with a floral to match the table name. Lovely little touch.
" We used Wedding Flowers and Styling for our wedding flowers in September and were blown away by all of the arrangements - from my bouquet to the centre pieces and ceremony flowers! From the first meeting Jo and Louise were incredibly helpful and understood exactly what we wanted. We decided to have floral centre pieces for 2 wedding receptions and WF&S were so understanding and made sure they came up with a plan to reuse as many flowers as possible whilst ensuring both receptions were full of incredible quality flowers. They also came up with the great idea to use individual flowers as favours, which looked so elegant! The quality of arrangements and service from WF&S was exceptional and we could not have asked for more. We received so many wonderful comments from our guests about the wedding flowers and I will never forget seeing (and smelling!) the stunning arrangements as I walked down the aisle!
A huge thank you to Jo and Louise!"
